RATES

Sessions are for 50-minutes. Michelle uses an online client portal program to manage billing. After every session, the portal will create an invoice and at the end of the month, it will create a monthly statement. Fees can be paid through the portal online with a credit card, or in person with cash/check.

INSURANCE POLICY

Michelle does not accept insurance at this time. However, she can provide the needed documents for clients to personally file a reimbursement claim through their own insurance should they want. Clients will still be responsible for full payment at the time of session. Reimbursement that an insurance company may pay is paid directly to the client. Please note that insurance companies will require a mental health diagnosis on these forms.

While Michelle Freeman does not directly bill insurance at this time, it is likely you can get your insurance to cover our sessions.  If your policy covers mental health counseling in general, it is likely you can be reimbursed for some of your session costs. 

 We will provide you with an invoice/superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.  You will still be responsible for the session fee and your insurance company will mail the reimbursement 

Before your first session: 

  1. Call the customer service phone number listed on your insurance card

  2. Inform them that you want to see an out-of-network Counselor, who is licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia and ask bout reimbursement for these counseling appointments. 

  3. Ask “What is the best way to submit my claim with superbills?”

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you need to cancel an appointment, please provide 48-hour notice. A fee will be charged if cancelled after that time frame. Please note clients are able to opt in to appointment reminders.
